Living in Washington state gives people the notion that Northern Exposure lives on. Well, not necessarily. I live in what is known as 'high desert". What this means is that there is wind, lots and lots of wind. Then, there is heat in the summer. 100+ degrees is normal August. In the winter it gets cold, sometimes reaching 0F. We do have snow, but it rarely sticks longers than a day. And we have sagebrush like the an island has sand. Oh, and we are best known for the Manhattan Project. That was the creation and production for the two atom bombs used on Japan in WWII. Nowadays we are known for getting rid of the spent plutonium used in the bombs. So, here enlies the life and times of one 10 year resident of this area.
